The most impressive and unique feature of this installation is ability to remotely control the system, via the Fusion Solar app. This includes scheduled charging during off-peak hours for cost-effective battery use, highlighting a significant benefit of solar batteries.
In this instance, our client is going to apply for a dual-rate tariff from their energy provider. This means during non-peak times (such as midnight to 5am) they can get a cheaper rate and force charge the batteries from the grid. They are then able to discharge the batteries at peak times when electricity is higher, resulting in overall lower costs for their energy.
